From the Washington, DC area

The Inn at Lost River & The Lost River General Store are approximately 2 to 2 ½ hours from Washington, DC

  1. Take I-66 W toward Front Royal, VA
  2. Merge left onto I-81 South toward Roanoke
  3. Take the second exit on I-81S – VA/WV 55
  4. Turn right at the end of ramp toward Wardensville,  WV 55W/John Marshall Highway
  5. Continue for approximately 19 miles (past Lebanon  Church & Star Tannery) crossing into Wild and Wonderful  West Virginia
  6. At stop sign in Wardensville bear left & continue on   WV55/259 (Wardensville is diligent with speed limit  enforcement)
  7. Once through Wardensville bear left and continue on  WV55/259 toward Baker, WV past Squirrel Gap Road,  Pinnacle Drive and McCauley Road
  8. Take WV259S exit toward Lost River State Park and Baker
  9. At bottom of ramp, turn left onto WV259/OldWV55
  10. Turn left onto WV 259S toward Lost River State Park,  Lost City & Mathias
  11. Look for the Lost River Methodist Church on your right  and slow down…turn left before the Lost River General  Store – parking for The Inn at Lost River and The Lost River General Store is at the rear of the store
